I've seen a lot of For Sale signs in my area recently.  Yesterday, a realtor came by handing out flyers for a nearby house.  Before he launched into his pitch, he said my place had a "Seward vibe" to it.  I think I know the area he means, and I'll take it as a compliment.

I thought he said the open house was today at noon, so I walked over just now.  Nobody was there.  I didn't test the front door, but I did open the gate and walked into the back yard.  It has a large wooden deck.  Unlike my neighbors, there are no huge trees in the back to shade it from sunlight.  You could put a nice garden in there.

Immediately behind this house is the mini-park for this area.  Diagonal from the driveway is the sole-table picnic area for the park.  The house looks to be in better shape than mine, which is probably why it's listing for $250K.

Summer within a small radius around my home was actually quieter than spring. I mean, look at this map for the last 7 or 14 days. The area around my house (upper left corner just above "the curve" of Broadway Avenue) is actually noticeably less bothersome than most of Minneapolis. That's never happened before!
