dream #10 for 2022: I lost my cat at Burger King

Apparently Moody Monday is pre-empted this week for a dream instead.
It's astonishing how many dreams I've had this year. I'm certain it's because of my long term unscripted sleep schedule. It's like my brain is rewiring itself into something completely new. I wasn't sure that my age still allowed me the plasticity for that sort of remaking, but apparently I've still got it.
I joined 3 people for a meal. They included 1)
13cbenzene, 2) someone I knew from high school [in real life], and 3) a person that I don't recognize (maybe a friend of the other two?). We intended to meet at a Burger King fast food restaurant.
It was a very unusual restaurant design. It was so very popular and busy that it had its own dedicated parking ramp. Moreover, the drive-thru window was part of the incoming lane at the parking ramp. That design was confusing.
It's interesting, though, that they allowed pets inside the restaurant. There were several dogs and cats when we entered. Somehow, I convinced my cat [who hates car rides and would never enjoy this trip] to come inside. We 4 humans sat together and talked while eating a meal. I don't remember any of that conversation. When it came time to leave, though, I noticed that I couldn't find my cat.
I searched everywhere inside the restaurant. I searched outside the front door, in case someone accidentally let her out. I returned to my car and searched it. I searched inside the restaurant again, looking closely at the other animals in case she was playing with them. I couldn't find her.
I tried to ask the workers behind the counter if anyone had told them about an unattended cat. They were so very busy, though, that they weren't very helpful in dealing with me as someone who was not in the process of ordering another meal from them. I started getting frustrated and scared enough for my cat that I finally woke up.
