lettuce and pollinator

I did not know...

1. lettuce had such pretty flowers.
2. we had green-bodied hornet-lookin' critters around here. pretty.

Unrelated. I have some documents to produce this weekend for the NoLAR conference next week.  There may be fewer people attending this year, unless all the papers arrive in the mail on the last day (tomorrow) like last year.

wow, I had no idea... it makes sense that lettuce would have flowers though. It shows how out of touch with our food sources we have become.
