I don't know what El Gibiti is, but I wonder if maybe it's a mass of hot air that's somehow related to El_Nino?

GLBT issues here in the heartland, though, are likely to see an increase in visibility, what with the stuff happening on the coasts (Prop 8 related) showing up in national news.

Thanksgiving is a good season for giblets too.  (gay, intersex, bisexual, lesbian, (everyone else), transgender, straight allies)

Mmmhh, only Gibiti I know is a genus of gobid fish! :o) Well, GLBT is a term I use too but to me it is a very clear symbol of how detached we humans have become of understanding our species sexuality continuum. Each letter denotes a closed cathegory whose limits with each other are diffusse in reality and also have many lateral branches. The BIG absence of an "S", (Straight) poses and undesirable detachment, for example. I even see issues in the term itself; what is the antonymous of "Straight": "Bent"? "Twisted"? It is not "Gay" for sure. What about all those OTHER terms: "Lesbian", "Transgendered", are they all precise enough, or desirable or should they even exist? We have become SO confused! :oO
