happy Eostara

I'm late (what's new) with what should have been timely information.  I was driving back home after an asperger meeting tonight and noticed the big full moon rising.  That's when I realized that it was Eostara already.

I haven't colored any eggs this year.  :(  But I am looking forward to planting lots of sprouts in the new garden this weekend!  And drinking another blueberry lager or two.  One mustn't use a shovel without first imbibing blueberry lager.  (Something new that I've learned this year.)  But don't set down your beer in a place where the branches you're moving around can knock it over to spill uselessly onto the rocks.  (Second new lesson that I've learned this year.)

Aw Terry, you literally READ my mind! I was just looking at my main page and becoming aware it was Full Moon already, and Eostara, when the anciat germanics celebrated Ostara, their fertility Godess and his husband Lepus, the rabbit! Happy Eostara my beloved friend! Big hugs, L. :o)

Well, if you can use beer to get rid of slugs in the garden, then I'm sure blueberry lager would be an adequate substitute. ;)

I've tried before to see the chinese Rabbit-with-mortar in the moon, but I have a hard time doing that. It seems that lots of cultures have bunny moon holidays. :)

I find it hard to make out the rabbit in the moon. But I did see some rabbits at Gerten's plant nursery today. As well as a cheerful older grandfather with a cute, thick, gray beard. :)
