life in Everquest 2

mellowtiggerYes, I did manage to get outside and play in the dirt for a while. That was fun. I'm going to head out after I finish this post for a little more sunshine. But I spent much of the weekend holed up at my pc in case of on-call pager issues during the Walk fundraiser yesterday. Thankfully, there were none. Yay!
While indoors, I spent a lot of time in Everquest 2. Anyone else here play that game? (I'm on Antonia Bayle server, usually as Larell.)
I hate to think how much (in game) money I've wasted playing Gigglegibber's goblin gambling lottery. I'm just standing at the dock, minding my own business, waiting for the next ship to arrive. There he is, though, tempting me with that wonderful "ka-ching!" sound whenever I play. (YouTube) Talk about impulse buys. Ugh! Of the 6 numbers in the lottery, I think the most I've ever matched is 3.
Plus, I learned today from game chat about this top 10 list for weird USB gadgets. The #1 is not safe for work, okay?

Date: 2008-May-06, Tuesday 03:19 am (UTC)I think that WoW is an excellent game, possibly the best on the market, but only up until max level. At that point, the game completely breaks down for me. I got 2 characters to max level (frost mage and shield warrior) before closing my account and moving on to other games. Enough time had passed that my pc system (very old) could finally run the patched EQ2 game engine reasonably well.
The whole reason I kept coming back to EQ2 was my ratonga necromancer and his swarm of rats spell. They recently added a clothing-display option so that other people view you in your favorite clothing, even if you're wearing something else for the stats. Naturally, I don only the robe that matches my fur. Color coordination and elegance are where it's at. (Take that, WoW shoulderpads of doom!)
