mellowtiggerI've mentioned the Civilian Conservation Corps time and again and again. Today, my wishes for its reinstatement are closer to becoming reality. As told by Bernie Sanders in this short news clip, this new proposal from Democrats includes tens of billions of dollars for a new CCC, making it the most consequential legislation since the 1930s.

The new CCC would be part of AmeriCorps, whose jobs are listed at UsaJobs.gov. Since they'll undoubtedly need some Information Technology support, I've signed up to get notices of I.T. jobs from them. I'd very much like to help an effort that I've advocated for more than a decade already.

Senate Budget Chair Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.), the nation’s preeminent progressive who negotiated the resolution in his committee, said the reconciliation package would ultimately represent a generational investment in climate change.
