Three days ago, it was 24C/75F outside in Minneapolis.  Yesterday morning, I scraped a thin layer of solid ice (not mere frost) from my car windows before driving to work.  This morning again it was about -2C/28F when I woke up.  I think the cool temperatures and the many days of overcast skies have fooled my christmas cactus into blooming a 3rd time this "winter" season.

The forecast for May is also cooler than usual.  Locals are resorting to wishful thinking that at least this meteorological whiplash might kill off mosquito larvae for a pleasant season this year.
