Sacred Band

A new online game called Gods & Heroes will be released in summer 2007. I'm expecting it to be a big hit in the mmorpg genre of computer gaming. It's using a semi-historical setting (focusing first on the Roman empire) with a unique "squad" method of gaming that allows a player to control a main character simultaneously with various minions. Anyway, I intend to create a guild (tribe) in the game that refers back to the historical Sacred Band of Thebes. I've put some work into making a website that hopefully will be a useful resource for GLBT (gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender) players. The site isn't complete yet, but the majority of the material is in place. Even if the guild itself doesn't interest you, hopefully the game itself will catch your attention.

Sounds fun! Wish I still had the time to mess with online gaming, these days I mainly sneak a few hours here and there on XBox.

Howdy. Unfortunately, Perpetual Entertainment canned the game a few weeks ago. *sigh* I was really looking forward to it. Don't have anything in particular holding my attention these days. Hellgate: London is free to play, and it's decent for a quick blow-stuff-up fix. *laugh* But I'll be hunting for another online obsession as soon as I find a job. Have an interview on Monday. *cross fingers*
